Registration and Time Table

The Project Lab 2 is an extension of Project Lab 1, which is a prerequisite as well, so the schedule is quite similar:

Registration: The students have to choose a project topic and register on the TMIT-intraweb till the end of the 3rd week of the semester (25 September). The project topics can be browsed without logging in, however, for registering you should be a logged in user of the TMIT-intraweb. If you had no account yet, you can make it on the log in page. (Unfortunately, some pages of the intraweb are not yet available in English, so, don't be surprised if sometimes you see a page in a totally unknown language, it is Hungarian. In this case you may ask the help of your supervisor or a Hungarian tutor.)

o The supervisors of those students who continue to work on their topic of previous semester should open the topic on the intraweb, and then the student can register at.

o The students who want to engage a new project, they should find it on the intraweb as well. Finding your new project topic, pls. consult the supervisor if he/she might take up your tuition. Then you may register on the new project.

Project Schedule: The students should submit a Project Schedule to the ftp site ftp://inflab@inflab.tmit.bme.hu/2011-osz/munkatervek/MSc_2_VITMM855_857_861 either in txt, pdf or doc formats.

o The password is '11onlab'.

o The uploaded file name should be your name, e.g. <last name>_<first name>.pdf or <last name>_<first name>.pdf. Pls. don't use accents or any non ASCII characters in file names! Due to safety reasons, the uploaded files could not be modified, deleted or downloaded. So, if you want to update a previously uploaded file, pls. use a version number in the file name, e.g. <last name>_<first name>-2.doc.

o A sample Project Schedule.

o The deadline is the end of the 3rd week of the semester (25 September). The late submission may deteriorate your grade according to the coefficient of indolence. After the 7th week we can not accept any Project Schedule.

Project Report: At the end of the second last week of the semester each student will have been to submit a ca. 10 page long Project Report. Later on the semester I will disclose a separate announcement about the format requirement of the Project Report and I will present a sample document as well.

Presentation: On the last week of the semester (5–9 December) the students will make an approx. 10 min. slide show presentation on their work. Those students who have delivered some lecture on a scientific conference (e.g. TDK) during the semester can ask for an exemption from the presentation.
